Pretty special...acquired the car from the family of the deceased second owner.......21,900 original miles, and around 200 miles on a comprehensive body off, frame up restoration.
Rebuilt original numbers matching engine, zero smoke, 80 psi oil pressure when warm, perfect running, rebuilt gearbox, excellent synchromesh, new cloth covered wiring harness, new top (still in the box), new side curtains (still in the box), excellent chrome and trim, beautifully detailed dashboard, new tires, quiet exhaust, working wipers and turn signals, as for the rest..........in so many ways, not all that different (I suspect) than the day it rolled out of the showroom. With excellent steering (aided by a Tompkins kit) and braking, remarkably smooth and soft ride, this is one fabulous MG TC.
Add racing screens to the cowl, fold the windshield down, and enjoy ancient motoring on one`s local country road. Kind of hard to top that scene, isn`t it?
