Certainly equal to the very best MGBs we have ever had. A really thorough rebuild and restoration.

Beautiful body and chassis/floors (in fact, the floors are all new). Passed the magnet test searching for plastic filler. Interior is all new, seats in deep red leather, dash is immaculate, beautiful detail work.

Rebuilt five main bearing engine with rebuilt SU carbs, just installed a rebuilt Ford T9 five speed transmission, rebuilt suspension and brakes, we even added a new dual master cylinder for safety. Wire wheels, all new chrome, new top, lovely red tonneau cover, spotless painted trunk, ready for shows.

AND.........converted to negative ground, a modern stereo/CD with USB input, a nice after market steering wheel, new 3 pt belts, Aeroquip lines with new oil cooler, electric radiator fan, new shocks, new exhaust, what`s left? As beautifully restored an early MGB as we have ever had with the added options of the 5 speed and wire wheels.

Five speed.......closer ratios than a stock gearbox, all synchromesh, very sturdy (was designed for a 170hp turbocharged sedan), and (of course) the fifth gear which magically converts the rather low geared 3.91 diff into a relaxed highway cruising 3.20. Fabulous. `Wouldn`t leave home without it.`

Just in, ready to be driven anywhere (and note in the photos, we also installed a powerful auxiliary heater under the passenger`s side dashboard which, as fitted in both of my own MGBs, gives effective heat roughly comparable to a contemporary car). In hot weather, cold, rainy, geez, just like a `real car.`

Which is why I drive my own 5 speed, two heater MGBGT and MGB in all seasons. Yes. Just like a real car.

(PS We also have the original bill of sale for this car, sold in VA for $2,742.85....part of which was paid for via a trade in of a 1957 Jaguar XK140)
