A beautiful example we sold 15 years ago, owner drove it less than 1,000 miles, now back in our showroom. With 88,000 original miles since new.

Excellent chassis....no sign of damage, patching, rust, etc (reality is that most Morgans have soggy chassis, they just weren`t built to last UNLESS the car was always garaged and taken care of). Excellent wood floors and battery trays, impressive `underneath.` Excellent body, very nice older BRG paint, certainly worthy of a low key show. Excellent chrome and exterior trim. Wire wheels, very well preserved (possibly) original Palomino interior, very good dash and gauges. More important, ALL of the original gauges work.

We were told the engine had been recently rebuilt, judging from compression (150 psi in every cylinder) and oil pressure (75 psi when hot), the way it runs and complete lack of smoke, seems believable...we even dropped the oil sump, pulled main and rod bearing caps, all new bearings and standard rod and main journals ....very impressive and further validating the indicated very low mileage. AND having driven several hundred Plus 4s over the years, this car has one of the best gearboxes....quiet in operation, very good synchromesh, maybe because the car only has covered so few miles over the years.

Wiring looks very good, as a `67 (more than likely, a late 1966), has disc brakes (and we found that all of the brakes have been redone, new wheel cylinders, flex lines, shoes, pads, rebuilt calipers, etc.), louvered bonnet, even a glove box door (missing on earlier Morgans).
Other work we just did: new top, good set of side curtains, folding windshield brackets, twin racing screens on the cowl, on board trickle charger, new driving lights, lots and lots of other similar accessories. Really `completes` this car.

Having owned Morgans for 45+ years, and currently owning three, Morgans in my opinion are close to the ideal classic sports car. Strong performance (twice the power of a T Series MG), they actually weigh less, disc brakes, parts available from the original factory (up to and including a brand new chassis and complete body), easy to service, incredibly rugged engine (TR3 or 4), transmission (essentially the same as Jaguar used from 1948 through mid 1965), and Morgan used the same back axle from 1950 through 1995. Oh, and almost forgot....those wonderful looks, sweeping fenders, cut down doors, lots of gauges across the wood dash, wire wheels....really epitomizes the term `classic British sports car.`

A good Morgan, such as this one, can easily cruise at 80-90 mph.....anything above is really academic. Great handling, not overly stiff ride (but, granted, not a lot of vertical travel on the back axle and IF you hit a big bump, best to be belted in so you don`t wind up in a low earth orbit), `spirited` (to use the English vernacular) performance and just plain fun to own, to show, for the proverbial drive in the country, and plenty of fun options.....folding windshield brackets come to mind. With my own two seater, fitted with factory folding windshield brackets and a pair of half moon shaped Brooklands Aero screens, I NEVER have the windshield up all season. MUCH too much fun driving around with the windshield folded.

So, there it is. A wonderful example of a wonderful car. And in arguably the best color combination.
