Although a dyed in wool English car enthusiast, must say, I do enjoy my 1979 VW Super Beetle cabriolet. Always starts, always runs perfectly, doesn`t seem to have any issue with cruising at 75 mph, AND NEVER BREAKS.

Hence, I jump at the chance to add a nice Karmann Ghia to our little inventory. Granted, not really a sports car but they do look great (especially in `British Racing Green` and with the bonus of a tan interior). Just like oh, so many TR6s and MGBs we have sold.

I would like to present an endless representation but, in so many ways, am a bit ignorant of these cars. However, looking underneath, saw some meaningless surface rust but no rust perforation. Or as my guys said `it is REAL solid underneath.`

As for paint, they also inform me it appears to be original paint. What you see in the photos is the result of 4 full days of careful wet sanding and buffing. And if the term `mirror image` defines an excellent body and paint, look at these photos. Mirror image.

Same with interior....lovely. While the tan insides makes for an excellent contrast with the green exterior. And the 75,000 miles shown on the odometer would seem to be accurate. A well preserved car.........add a bit of engine bay detailing and a new pad in the trunk and take it your local show (if this planet ever gets to see another car show). It is a lovely car, runs great, no smoke, clutch doesn`t sleep, no cracked glass, brakes work well...........what is left? (and I took a photo of the radio blank on the dash, with no radio.........my way of sensing `a kid never owned this car.`` But maybe a deaf adult?)
