Just finished...a nice, clean BGT fitted with a rebuilt, modified 150hp 2.8 Ford Capri V6 engine, 2bbl carb, custom headers, high flow exhaust, new clutch, Bosch alternator, narrowed (and stronger than stock) Ford back axle with 3.09 final drive (making a 5th speed redundant), rebuilt Mustang II transmission, oil cooler, improved cooling system, rare full Webasto style fabric sunroof with lift up wind breaker, choice of 15` modular alloy OR (as shown) Minilite wheels with 195/60 Dunlop V rated high speed radials, gas shocks, new windshield and rubber surround, new Sony stereo/CD with USB input, new master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders, a very interesting modestly priced high performance classic GT car.

Last owner told me the car was originally from California, floors look perfect and having gone over all of the edges of the body (and the bottoms of the doors) with a magnet, I suspect there is no plastic filler.

While a stock MGB gets 18 miles per 1,000 rpm in top gear and one with overdrive, 21, the high ratio Ford back axle gives around 25.....easy cruising, very quiet engine, and a lot less wear. And, of course, a stock MGB puts out around 92hp.....HUGE difference in this car.

We also just installed a modern air conditioning unit with high powered supplemental heating making this GT a worthy consideration as a classic alternative to a contemporary car. In many ways, it quite close to the ultimate BGT....the V6 engine offers performance comparable to the European BGTV8 yet the engine is more compact. With air conditioning, better heat sunroof, and lots and lots of other practical options, in many ways we created an incredible classic MG.
