Low mileage California car.....76,000 miles, excellent rust and undercoating free floors, excellent body and paint, very clean exterior chrome and trim.

Part of a local Volvo enthusiast`s collection. And was in dry storage for many years........just out and completely serviced and prepared. New oil and filter, lubed, new tires and battery, cleaned inside and out, brakes checked, etc.

2 liter B20E 4 cylinder fuel injected engine, 4 speed transmission with overdrive, four wheel disc brakes, very well preserved leather seats (with adjustable lumbar support), panels, dash, and headliner and fitted with new carpets. New Sony stereo/CD, new 6` speakers, very clean engine and trunk compartments, new ATS alloy wheels with new 195/65 radials, brakes recently done, new shocks, new door seals, normal Volvo virtues of excellent ride and handling, strong performance, a high degree of reliability, ease of operation, and distinctive style.

We checked all of the heater controls (a bit sticky, at first), lubricated and adjusted and now a true furnace. Also has factory air conditioning and we fitted a modern high efficiency rotary compressor which provides a high level of cooling and take less power from the engine.

Our prep work on this car was very thorough including new engine oil and filter, new trans and overdrive oil, new differential oil, lubed, all new exhaust system, new coolant, made sure all interior and gauge lights work properly, new seat webbing, valves adjusted, solid state ignition added, cold start injector checked, fuel pressure checked (and new fuel filter installed), spare keys made, all door and trunk locks checked, new matching mirror added to passenger`s door, wheel bearings repacked, added an expensive new Nardi wood steering wheel, added a battery switch and trickle charger, new air cleaner, handbrake adjusted, new wiper blades, washer nozzles cleaned and adjusted, new bonnet rubber surround, and as soon as they arrive will get a complete IPD sway bar/polyurethane bushing kit.

ALL DONE because, the plan was to retain ownership of this car. Hence, a lot of detail work done, really everything we could find. To transform a basically very sound, excellent rust free P1800E into a daily use car. However, a sudden change of priorities (centered around finding and acquiring another Lotus) makes offering this car for sale the logical course.

This car doesn`t miss a beat. Very quick, great handling, sensational brakes, quiet with close to zero wind noise, great shifting, high gearing in overdrive, looks great, and a rare blend of classic 60s style with remarkably contemporary performance, civility, reliability, and use.

I might add that I have already logged over 400 miles on the car and it has performed very well. Starts instantly, drives like new, and I am still amazed at what a visual improvement the new alloy wheels and wider tires made. Seats are supremely comfortable and the overall result is one can genuinely use this car as an alternative to a contemporary car.
