A very nice car we sold a few years ago, did a lot of work on, and has become superfluous to the last owner`s needs. And back with us.
Wood steering wheel, wood dash, door panels and carpets are very nice, floors are excellent, front and rear suspensions were rebuilt recently (new springs, bushings), hard to find significant fault.
Very clean body, older but still very presentable maroon paint, very good interior, new top, working original AM FM Motorola radio, wire wheels with near new radials, LOTS of options.....oil cooler, electronic ignition, Weber carb and best of all..........a rebuilt very close ratio Datsun 280ZX five speed transmission.
Can`t begin to write how wonderful a component this is..........own two MGBs in my own collection, both with five speed transmissions. Close ratio, very rugged, all synchromesh, and (of course) a nice, long fifth gear for effortless cruising at most any speed.
AND..........IF one ever needs a new clutch, throw out bearing, or even a rear main seal, its a snap as the trans drops out under the car. UNLIKE a stock MGB, requiring engine removal.
Its a very nice MGB, runs and drives well, 70 psi psi oil pressure when warm, brakes, steering, ride, handling are all very good and with the 5 speed, an impressive classic sports car.
