Excellent example....NO RUST at all underneath, rockers, sills, chassis, floors, just untouched metal. No patching, no undercoating, really incredible.
Southern car (from Kentucky) presumably always garaged, 57,000 authentic miles since new, bright red with excellent original black interior, new top, premium luggage rack, very good original chrome and trim.
Engine: rebuilt 2,000 miles ago, our tests: 150-155 psi compression in every cylinder, 65+ psi oil pressure when hot and on the highway, zero smoke. Rebuilt SU carbs, oil cooler, spin on oil filter, excellent transmission with properly working overdrive (clicks in and out instantly), tight front end, sandblasted and painted wire wheels, new tubes, new radials, excellent original wiring harness, new alternator, very clean engine bay, carpeted trunk, wood steering wheel, all original gauges work, brakes work well, exhaust is quiet, what else is there?
Hard to fault although, yes, some past owner installed racing hood pins. But no worry, buy the car and the price will include welding up the holes, matching the color and repainting the hood. And then, one beautiful MGB.
Just finished preparation and ready to drive anywhere. And we can offer a/c and/or a powerful supplemental heater making this truly an all season car most anywhere.
