The product of a very expensive, comprehensive rebuild.restoration, with a very high level of preparation.
First of all, excellent body and show quality paint, car was originally sold in California and spent most of its life there, excellent floors and chassis (no rust), really beautiful interior, power windows work fine, very good top, spotless engine bay and trunk compartment. Suitable for a low key show.
Front and rear suspensions were rebuilt around 2,000 miles ago, KYB shocks, brand new calipers, new servo, and new master cylinder, same with electricals, properly working heater, etc.
`
BUT.......and this must be the best part.........just finished a professionally prepared high performance engine. Twin Weber carbs, racing headers, gas flowed cylinder head, high lift cams, bored 10 over, balanced, elaborate crank sensor ignition (no distributor), new timing belt, and set up on a dyno (and we have the dyno sheet).....with 135 net horsepower. Considering the original, somewhat gutless engine was maybe 80 or so net hp, quite a difference.
And the rest? 5 speed transmission (excellent synchromesh action), 4 wheel power assist disc brakes, sophisticated suspension, new 1` front sway bar, new 8 spoke Minilite style alloy wheels with new high speed 205/60-15 radials, nice after market wood steering wheel, modern stereo with USB input and elaborate amp/speaker system, nice exhaust note with a performance muffler, a genuinely wonderful not very expensive classic sports car.
