1979 Fiat 124 Spider

In the current art of car advertising, I see such generalities as 'original' and 'very clean.' Moving along, my faves are 'mirror finish' and 'laser straight.'' And, having looked at thousands of cars, some are, some aren't.
This Fiat, in my experienced opinion is: perfect, mint, show condition, laser straight, mirror finish, gorgeous, all in all, the best one we have ever seen in 45 years of business and having sold many Fiat 124s (why? Because they are of similar size, use, performance, and cost of the bulk of the English sports cars we sell) an outstanding example.
Now for specifics: last owner told us he had spent $26,000 on restoration work NOT including the rust and bondo free car (went over the exterior with my magnet, stuck everywhere), new paint in a deep Royal Blue, all new interior, less than 1,000 miles on a rebuilt engine, brakes, suspension, new top, trunk detail wok, new JVC stereo, impressive. And yes, everything works, gauges, wipers, lights, horn, even door jambs are nicely painted and detailed. VERY IMPRESSIVE.
Now, so....what do we have here? A nice, fun, classic sports car with (unlike its English contemporaries) a top that goes up and down in a snap, comfortable, reliable, can seat four in a pinch (with the seats moved forward), quiet, smooth, refined, parts are plentiful and not very expensive, and (almost forgot) a lot of fun to drive.
The slick five speed snicks in and out of the gears smoothly (and with perfect synchromesh), the engine is smooth up to its 6,000 rpm redline, the stereo (with premium quality door speakers) sounds great, light precise steering, powerful servo assist four wheel disc brakes, roomy trunk (and, if needed, we can fit a luggage rack), and in an absolutely beautiful color combination.
So there it is. A sweet little, very usable classic in show condition. In our showroom, ready to drive anywhere.
