10,000 original miles, excellent crack free body with beautiful red paint, presumably original. Black leather interior, 2.8 liter Ford V6 and Ford transmission. Of all of the 280is we have had, this one seems the fastest. All electricals work, has a modern stereo/CD with bluetooth, power windows, and the fantastic three position Drophead top....up completely, down completely or the rear section up and the roof section off. From my experience with my own 280i, with the roof panel off and heater on, very comfortable semi top down motoring in even 50 degree weather.

These cars offer the best handling of any front engined GT I have ever driven. Due, no doubt, to the stiff tubular space frame chassis, Ford front end, and TVR designed independent rear suspension employing a Jaguar XJS diff and inboard disc brakes. And wide alloy wheels with 205/60 Goodyear NCT radials.

Four wheel power assist disc brakes, effective heater and air conditioning, excellent ride, and what other exotic car could you buy in this price range? And with the proprietary Ford drive train, easy to service and repair.

A few deficiencies....wood dash is okay but the glove box does not match. Fortunately there is a local wood expect who has a pattern for a 280i dash and can supply a new wood grained dash. A few other minor things but it is VERY CLOSE to perfection if you accept it IS a forty year old car.
