Just in, seems to have been loved and enjoyed by past owners. And in very good condition.

Original paint looks good, with a day or two of wet sanding and buffing, even better. Excellent engine, upgraded with a 32/36 DGV Weber (and the neatest heat shield I have ever seen), 4 speed with overdrive (and yes, the overdrive clicks in and out properly), brakes just done (we pulled the rear drums and saw new shoes and wheel cylinders, can see new front calipers), and we just fitted a new set of MG logo Minilite style light alloy wheels. Same ones as on my own GT.

Interior is excellent, very nicely reupholstered seats (black with red piping), modern stereo, very good chrome and trim, floor looks good with no signs of rust perforation or repairs, not much to add.

Great oil pressure and compression, no smoke, gearbox has excellent synchromesh, the overdrive makes highway cruising a pleasure, and for either general use or even a local car show, it really doesn`t need anything. (BUT, we can install such add-ons as a powerful supplemental heater which, in my own GT, makes for comfortable use in even 20 degree temperatures....air conditioning.using a modern system that uses maybe 3hp of engine power...a full fabric sunroof which, on my own car, makes Summer driving particularly nice....we can even convert to wire wheels, painted or chrome, driving lights, most anything)

In their day, in England, BGTs were known as `the poor man`s Aston Martin` due, no doubt, to the hatchback first seen on the Aston DB2/4. But with Aston prices into outerspace, even Jaguar E Type Coupe prices extremely high (and both of those cars are extremely expensive to repair), the BGT offers a stylish, very usable, all year `round alternative to a contemporary car. Which is why my own BGT is used 12 months a year (granted, by choice, don`t drive it in the snow or in slushy weather) and always enjoyed.
