One of the rarer and more unusual Morgans.

Quick history....from 1950 through 1953, Morgan Plus 4s were known as 'Flat Rads' in they maintained similar aesthetics to the pre war cars. Vertical grille and radiator, separate headlights otherwise very post war with hydraulic brakes, Triumph TR2 engine, etc.

In 1954, for a very brief time, Morgans had the new curved nose cowl but with a flat radiator grille. And headlights fared into the fenders but rather low. And by 1955, this car evolved.

From the front, sported the 'new' look in Morgans....'waterfall' grille, more efficient cooling system, headlights mounted as with later cars, still retaining the pre war style folding windshield BUT in the back, had the 'bustle' style bodywork and retaining the earlier Flat Rad twin spares.

This car was delivered in June of 1955....one of the last of this rare transitional model which began production in the Fall of 1954. Has only covered 36,000 original miles since new. Last owner had it for 47 years. And it has been carefully maintained.

Recent work: complete rewire with new factory cloth covered wiring harness, new high capacity alloy radiator, alternator fitted, stainless steel exhaust system, carbs rebuilt, new fuel llnes, five new 16" bias tires (as new), brakes rebuilt, lots of little items. It starts instantly, maintains 70 psi oil pressure, zero smoke, and offers rapid acceleration.

Understand that it is easy to switch colors on a Morgan as ALL cars had a black firewall and were always painted black under the fenders. And, back then, as it is now, you can have a new Morgan painted in ANY color or combination you might wish. This car left the factory in green, painted white in 1979 and later, redone in deep damask over black fenders. In expensive two stage acrylic base coat/clear coat paint. And hand wet sanded and buffed. Looks beautiful.

On the topic of 'MG versus Morgan' (the sequel, no doubt, to Ford vs Ferrari), this car's TR2 engine puts out 90hp and lots of torque versus a comparable MG TF's 57hp (63 in the TF 1500). And the Morgan weighs less than an MG. Hence, it GOES>>>>>>>>>>>

Car has a good convertible top and side curtains, a full tonneau cover, new seat belts, a heater, and yes, we can easily install a modern digital stereo with bluetooth. Just like a 'real car.'
