Just in from Southern Virginia, a nice, excellent running TR3A. Our test showed: 175-180 psi compression in every cylinder, up to near 100 psi oil pressure at operating temperature, no smoke, smooth and very powerful...........hey, it simply doesn`t come better than those figures. AND, in my long test drive, got a nice little surprise: an all synchromesh TR3B or TR4 four speed transmission. And it, too, works perfectly. No clutch slippage or chatter.

We can see new brake flex lines, carbs that are spotless, fairly new Michelin radials, ALL, what appears to be all, new chrome....even the windshield mounts appear new.

Again....what appears to be all new interior, new top, new side curtains, new tonneau, THIS IS A VERY nice example. Can`t say `spotless` engine but very clean and with a color that matches the exterior. Same with the trunk. And something you rarely see....the original leather strap hold down for the spare wheel.

Now, the water temp gauge isn`t original and certainly isn`t correct......but at least is it a Smith`s unit and it works. At the moment, looking for an original

Wiring looks good, everything works, steering is better than average, no rattles when one hits a bump, ride is exceptional (for a TR), exhaust quiet, what is left?

A lovely 62 year old TR3A with 110 mph performance, disc brakes, wire wheels, just added new seat belts, new weather equipment, new chrome, very nice paint, can`t think of anything else for a summary.
