Not sure if this is 'one of a kind' but, if not, VERY SPECIAL. Acquired from the son of the original owner. One 'family owned' since new. Complete with the original invoice and original warranty card.
Shows 76,000 miles since new (roughly 1,200 miles per year). And the 'son' told me it has covered between 1,000 and 1,500 since car was restored. Looking through all of the invoices, can see engine rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, carbs, clutch, brakes (with new calipers and rotors), new master cylinders, new paint (n a deep BRG), new seats, carpets, top, side curtain, wiring, chrome, front suspension, rear axle seals,, new stainless steel exhaust, new radiator, sort of an endless list.
In our own observations, all gauges work, 140 psi compression in every cylinder, 70 psi oil pressure when at operating temperature, no smoke cold or hot, strong smooth performance, excellent brakes, absolutely beautiful
So, the car has a well documented history, has every invoice from the restoration, looks and drives well, IF you want a great TR3A for shows, distant cruising, around town, or the proverbial country roads.....here it is.
Oh, wheels. Currently with new Minilite style eight spoke alloy wheels BUT, if wished, we can install the original steel wheels with hubcaps OR convert the car to center lock wire wheels, painted or chrome. A buyer's choice.
Hard to imagine a better all around classic British sports car than a TR3 or MGA, both in stock. With the TR3A providing more performance, the capability of carrying two small kids in the back deck area (we can make/install a rear cushion and two pairs of seat belts)....and both really represent the classic British 50s/60s style.
