Well, in reality, this car is NOT a normal AH Bug Eye Sprite. Truth be told, it began its life as a 1973 MG Midget. But has been somewhat modified with a Bug Eye nose. Offering the best of all worlds for someone who wants a Bug Eye (the cutest sports car ever built) but is reluctant to deal with its 43hp engine, wide ratio gearbox, tiny drum brakes, very low gearing, and skinny wheels/tires.

Not this car. As a 1973 MG Midget, has the bigger, torquier 1275cc engine, 65hp and capable of being easily modified for substantially more. And the stronger semi close ratio rib case gearbox, higher geared differential, the stopping power of disc brakes and the safety of a dual circuit master cylinder. Also negative ground and an alternator.

Clearly the owner who had this work done put some rear thought into it. Just as getting rid of the ugly 'pillow' dash and replacing it with a wood dash. Even with a working glove box. Hey, this is real luxury for a Sprite/Midget.

Currently undergoing some minor prep work, photos to be posted soon.
