A nice, clean `74 B, a wonderful year for MGBs....sufficiently new to have modern safety equipment yet sufficiently old to still have chrome bumpers.
Wonderful running, 150-155 psi compression in every cylinder, no smoke, 60 pounds of oil pressure, excellent gearbox, almost like new original interior, brand new Minilite style alloy wheels with new radials, wood dashboard, stereo, oil cooler, luggage rack, very clean body and paint, very good original chrome, a well cared for, excellent running/driving MGB.
Unlike the 1968-1971 MGBs, the 72-74 Bs have face level air vents and a glove box. Items missing from the earlier cars due to the infamous `pillow dash.` And the next iteration of the B was, of course, the `rubber bumper` cars of 1974 1/2 to 1980. Hence, in standard form, the 1974s are a wonderful comromise.
