SOLD

A car we sold and just repurchased..........virtually perfect body (no body, no bubbling, no repairs), virtually perfect floor.....floor panels, sills, rockers, battery box are all in excellent rust free condition.

Engine rebuilt one year ago, new higher compression pistons, balanced, early non smog head, rebuilt SU carbs, headers, all synchromesh transmission, 70-75 psi oil pressure at operating temperature, zero smoke, and the fasted MGB currently in inventory. Goes up to the redline very quickly in all gears, YET can start effortless in 2nd gear and pull smoothly from under 1,000 rpm in top gear. Fast AND flexible.

Almost forgot....has overdrive (which works perfectly), the most expensive option on an MGB. Offers quiet cruising at highway speeds, essentially an external 5th gear that works on 3rd and 4th gears offering a choice of six different ratios.

Underneath we can see: new springs, new front suspension bushings, all new Aeroquip brake lines, very clean front suspension. And has new Minilite type alloy wheels with new radial tires.

Interior all appears to be new, new burled wood dash, wood steering wheel, modern stereo/CD, inertia reel belts, new carpets, on and on. Spotless.

(back to the engine bay....) wiring beautifully improved with a series of fused relays, spotless engine bay paint, nicely painted under the bonnet and with new heat shielding. New master cylinders and brake servo (as a later model MGB, has power disc brakes). Larger radiator with thermostatically controlled electric fans, electronic ignition, spotless strunk compartment (AND of course) underwent a complete, professional chrome bumper conversion, hence new bumpers, overriders, and Mk I grille.

Lowered to pre 1975 ride height, frotn and rear sway bars, in a real sense, this car blends the best of early Bs (and seems faster and more powerful) with the sophistication and reliability of the later cars.

Just in and ready to drive anywhere.
