Another in a series of excellent, unmolested, well maintained late model MGBs, always garaged, babied as a 2nd or 3rd car since new, and only covered 69,000 miles (averaging 1,600 miles per year). Excellent floors, chassis, sills, body and deep red paint. No indication of patching, repair, filler, etc.
Can`t say if the interior is new or merely excellent original (I suspect, original).....but as seen in the photos, in excellent condition. As is the dash, now with a burled wood dash covering and a new premium wood steering wheel and modern stereo/CD.
Excellent drive train, 150 psi compression in every cylinder, 65-70 psi oil pressure when warm, no smoke, 4 speed transmission with perfect working overdrive. And a new 32/36 DGV Weber carb with electric choke and racing style headers.
Top is new, has a boot cover, carpeted trunk, elaborate heat shielding under the carpets, underwent a thorough professional chrome bumper conversion using all new brackets, hardware, sheet metal, lights, bumpers and guards and a new Mk I grille. We even went further and eliminated the side lights, plated over the holes with fabricated sheet metal, blended in the paint on all four corners.
At the same time, lowered the ride height to the pre 1975 specs, rebuilt the front end with new springs and bushings, and fitted a nice new set of Minilite style wheels with 185/70 radials.
Has an excellent wiring harness, servo assist (power) disc brakes, front and rear sway bars, new oversize aluminum radiator, thermostatically controlled radiator cooling fans, all in all, about as `modern` an MGB as one can find in the USA. (and yes, we can fit wire wheels, a/c, or anything else a buyer might want)
Done, ready to drive anywhere
