What a car!!!!!!!!!!! Sort of the ultimate MGB.....3.9 liter Rover SD1all aluminum V8, new 650 cfm Edelbrock/Weber four barrel carb, guessing around 230hp, 5 speed transmission, excellent body, stripped to the bare metal and repainted (no bondo), excellent floors/chassis, all new interior, carpeted trunk, 2600 miles since rebuild/conversion, stainless steel exhaust, new cloth top, Minilites with 185/60 radials, FABULOUS car.
The Rover V8 is more than double the displacement of the original MGB 1800cc engine yet weighs less (so it retains an MGB`s light, very precise steering). And with a five speed transmission, general driving is more like a modern car. As a 1979 MGB, has power assist disc brakes, a bigger more efficient radiator, stronger back axle, front and rear sway bars.............either `as is` or with further modification (hmmm, lets see, IF it was MY car, what would I do? Maybe a set of WIlwood four piston front calipers, maybe rear disc brakes, maybe a thicker front sway bar, maybe dye the interior in Camel, maybe this or that....And we can easily convert the car to wire wheels if wanted. .Geez, all the things I did to my own V6/five speed MGBGT and anything else you might wish.
Easy to service, cheap to repair, tons of performance, and the `quality feel` afforded by most any MG. Just in and ready to drive anywhere.
