As clean and original a B as we have ever seen. Excellent body with original black paint (appears as new), excellent rust free floors and sills, excellent tan interior, new tan top, perfect working overdrive, 42,000 original miles since new. ALWAYS garaged and always babied.

Wire wheels with new splined adapters and chrome knock offs, excellent engine fitted with improved manifolds and Weber carb, nicely detailed engine bay with excellent wiring, a larger radiator and thermostatically controlled cooling fans. Improved electrics and hydraulics, servo assist power disc brakes.

Fitted with a new wood dash and quality wood steering wheel, boot cover, modern stereo with a 100 watt amp, we just finished a comprehensive chrome bumper conversion.....Mk I grille, new bumpers and guards, new sheet metal, new lights, we even eliminated the side lights and welded panels to cover the holes, blended in with matching paint.

As a later model B, has such refinements as electronic ignition, bigger gauges, front and rear sway bars and to improve looks and handling, we lowered the car to the earlier spec ride height and rebuilt the front end.

The black with tan is a sensational color contrast and the car runs and drives better then when new and with more performance. These make nice collector`s USER cars especially this example with factory overdrive. Quiet and smooth at 70-80 mph or move, simple to service, reliable, and (best of all) a lot of fun to drive. A great combination of virtues.

What is interesting about these cars is that by the late 1970s, sales were up despite the reduced performance, ugly rubber bumpers, and ungainly appearance being lifted up to meet US DOT bumper height requirements. BUT that has become these cars greatest virtue. See, by the late 70s, a good number of cars went to mature owners who could tell their wives....`hey, honey, compared to our Lincoln, this is one fantastic fun car....so lets head out somewhere this weekend.`

No boy racers. No young kids flailing their car on dark dangerous roads at night. AND due to the market as (frequently) buyers using the car as 2nd or 3rd cars FROM BRAND NEW, properly serviced, kept in a garage, the result is now, in 2021, one can almost go back in time and get a 40-45 year old MG with our comprehensive improvements, and get the same enjoyment as when brand new. And certainly this car is an excellent example.
